Import Code

Installation

In Streamer.bot in select Import from the top left. Copy the Import Code and paste it into the Import String.

If you are upgrading from pwnedCounter 1.3 to 1.4 skip to update section.

  1. As SB-Init is already included in the import code, if you already had it in your current setup, you can unselect it in the Importable Actions section. After clicking import, you should add the pwnC_UpdateStream action into your existing SB-Init. Make sure the action is under the delay action in SB-Init.
(If it’s your first-time setup and you are not connected to Twitch somehow, it will set your current game to Just Chatting)

  2. Go to your Stream Update event, Platforms -> Twitch -> Events -> Stream Update. Set the generic action to pwnC_UpdateStream. If you are already using the Stream Update event for something else, create a general action where all your actions that use the Stream Update event are. Now set this general action as the generic action of the Stream Update event. This will make sure the current game category is up-to-date if it’s being changed during the stream.

  3. Go to your Commands tab, right-click the pwned Counter DeathCommands 1.4. Select Group - Enable All. This will enable the general commands that can always be used, even if the game category was not set as a death counter. You can disable the !pwnedCounter command, which is only used to transfer your death counter from the old pwned Counter extension (v.1.3), or you want to debug your current counters in the log.

  4. Make sure all your commands, in both the pwned Counter groups, have the right permissions. Especially !deathcategory, !death+, !death-, !deathreset and !deathset. Most, if not all, should only be used by moderators.

  5. (optional) Restart your Streamer.Bot to check if SB-Init is working properly. This will then setup pwnedCounter as well, although it would always check if it has been setup already or not.

You can also change the error message that will be sent if you are not using the right input for the !deathcategory command.

pwnC_UpdateStream

Sub-Actions / Messages you are able to configure, are located in the folder:

  • OBS Text No DeathCounter
  • OBS Death Counter Text
It is possible to use %game% in both messages. %deathCounter% can only be used for the OBS Death Counter Text folder.

How to display death counter in OBS

To use the death counter with OBS, there are sub-actions that first need to be enabled and changed to your Scene and GDI Text Source. Then you can change the Text here and use %deathCounter%.
The sub-actions that have such a sub-action are:

  • pwnC_Category_Add_Remove
  • pwnC_Modify
  • pwnC_ShowDeath
  • pwnC_UpdateStream

When you enable the OBS GDI Text sub-actions, please make sure your OBS is connected with your Streamer.Bot. Check in the Stream Apps Tab under OBS. After you made sure your OBS is connected select which OBS GDI Text Source you want to update with the death counter value.{.is-info}

Update from pwnedCounter 1.3 to 1.4

After importing pwnedCounter v1.4, these are the next steps, you should take:

  1. Go to Platforms -> Events -> General -> Stream Update. Update the Generic action to pwnC_UpdateStream. If you already have a general action that is in the Generic Stream Update, just add pwnC_UpdateStream into that action and delete the old PC_UpdateStream.
  2. In your SB-Init Action, change the Sub-Action Action(PC_UpdateStream) to use the pwnC_UpdateStream action.
  3. Enable the command group pwnedCounter DeathCommands 1.4. In your chat write the command !pwnedCounter transfer. This will transfer all death counters to the new system which uses in total only uses two global variables. It will also delete all global variables that were needed before and will also delete the old deathCategories.txt file.
  4. The last thing to do is if you are satisfied with the transfer. Adjust the messages in the new pwnC-Actions to the ones you had before and delete/Disable the old commands and actions so they won’t trigger anymore. You can also delete the old pwnedCounter Queue since it is not needed anymore, as the new import has its own queue name.

Most, if not all, actions are logged. So if for any reason you accidentally reset a death counter, you should be able to just check your logs with the game name to find your last count. pwnedCounter logs will always begin with [pwned Counter]
